These Terms & Conditions explain how GlcierLite works and what you can expect when you engage us for joinery and glazing services.
They’re designed to keep things clear and fair and should be read together with any written quote or invoice we provide.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law.
Our Services
We provide joinery and glazing services for residential and commercial projects, which may include:
Supply and installation of aluminium joinery
Glazing and glass replacement
Related joinery and glazing work as outlined in your quote
Each job is based on the specific scope described in our written quote.
What’s Not Included (Unless Stated in Writing)
To avoid confusion, our services do not include the following unless clearly stated in the quote:
Council consent applications or inspections
Structural, electrical, plumbing, or general building work
Painting, plastering, tiling, cladding repairs, or redecoration
Removal or handling of asbestos or hazardous materials
Engineering or architectural design
Repairs to pre-existing or hidden defects in the building
If additional work is required, this will be treated as a variation.
Quotes & Pricing
Quotes are based on the information available at the time and are valid for the stated period
GST will be noted on our quotes and invoices. Unless stated otherwise, pricing shown is exclusive of GST. The quote or invoice is the source of truth for pricing.
Quotes may change if:
Site conditions differ from what was reasonably expected
Measurements or specifications change
Products or materials become unavailable
We’ll always discuss any changes with you before proceeding.
Variations & Changes
If you request changes or unforeseen issues arise during the job:
Additional costs or time may apply
Variations will be explained and agreed before work continues, where reasonably possible
Timeframes & Delays
We aim to meet agreed timeframes, however delays can occur due to:
Manufacturing or supplier lead times
Weather conditions
Site access or readiness
Third-party or council-related delays
We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control.
Payments
A deposit may be required before ordering or fabrication begins
Payment terms are stated on our invoice
Late payments may delay completion, warranty support, or future work
Where permitted by law, ownership of supplied goods remains with us until payment is made in full.
Site Access & Customer Responsibilities
To help the job run smoothly, you agree to:
Provide safe and reasonable access to the site
Clear the work area of personal belongings
Ensure power is available if required and agreed
We’re not responsible for damage caused by unsafe site conditions or undisclosed issues.
Warranties & Guarantees
All work is carried out with reasonable care and skill in line with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
Manufacturer warranties apply to products supplied
Warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Damage caused by misuse, impact, or lack of maintenance
Work altered by others after completion
Please let us know as soon as possible if you notice any issues.
Liability
To the extent allowed by law:
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss
Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law.
Privacy
We collect personal information only for business purposes such as quoting, invoicing, and communication.
All personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Important Note
For some residential projects, a separate written contract may be required by law.
