Swimming pools in New Zealand are subject to pool fencing requirements under the Building Act, and glass pool fencing needs to meet the F9/AS1 Building Code acceptable solution: a minimum barrier height of 1200mm (1800mm if the fence sits on a property boundary), no gaps that a 100mm-diameter sphere could pass through, and a self-closing, self-latching gate that opens away from the pool. We use toughened glass and build to these requirements as standard — if consent or building-code sign-off is needed for your property, we’ll flag that as part of the quote so there are no surprises.
